Can't wait to read more about the river boat! We took a steamboat ride on the Missouri when we were in Hannibel (which is a town dedicated to Mark Twain -- I think he may have been born there). I loved it.
I know nothing about this one ! Just, it's sure that numerous people of this part of France went to US during XIX century. Some of them came back... with beautiful pictures in their mind. Perhaps a grand-father ? To prepare my post about Tom Sawyer I read some articles about Mark Twain. He was born in Florida Missouri but grew up in Hannibal. I'd like too to travel on board of one of these boats !
